HT9200A DTMF Tone Generator IC 5V 950μA DIP-8
The HT9200A is a high-performance Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) tone generator designed for microelectronic MCU interfaces. It can be instructed directly by a microcontroller to generate 16 dual tones and 8 single tones routed directly through its designated DTMF output pin. Operating over a serial data protocol, the HT9200A transmits phone digit codes efficiently with a low operating current footprint and high precision, making it a reliable choice for telephony, remote control, and automated communication setups.
Features

Pin Configuration

| Pin No. | Pin Name | I/O | Internal Connection | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | CE | I | CMOS IN Pull-high | Chip enable, active low |
| 2 | X2 | O | Oscillator | The system oscillator consists of an inverter, a bias resistor, and the required load capacitor on chip. The oscillator function can be implemented by connecting a standard 3.579545MHz crystal to the X1 and X2 terminals. |
| 3 | X1 | I | Oscillator | |
| 4 | VSS | — | — | Negative power supply, ground |
| 5 | CLK | I | CMOS IN Pull-high or Floating | Data synchronous clock input for the serial mode. When the IC is operating in the parallel mode, the input terminal (CLK) is included with a pull-high resistor. When the IC is operating in the serial mode, this pin becomes floating. |
| 6 | DATA | I | CMOS IN Pull-high or Floating | Data input terminal for the serial mode. When the IC is operating in the parallel mode, the input terminal (DATA) is included with a pull-high resistor. When the IC is operating in the serial mode, this pin becomes floating. |
| 7 | DTMF | O | CMOS OUT | Output terminal of the DTMF signal |
| 8 | VDD | — | — | Positive power supply, 2.0V~5.5V for normal operation |
