2S1MD3T IC High Noise-Resistant Phototriac Coupler DIP-5
The S11MD5T is an optically-isolated phototriac coupler packaged in a compact DIP body. It couples an input LED to a light-activated triac output, providing galvanic isolation between low-voltage control circuitry and AC mains or power-triac gates. The device is intended to translate an LED trigger into a controlled AC-side trigger without the need for direct electrical connection.
Internally the device places the LED and triac-like detector in proximity so light from the LED reliably switches the output stage. The output element is designed to pass AC load current when triggered and to withstand repetitive off-state voltages appropriate to the model (S11MD5T rated at a minimum VDRM). Drawings in the datasheet show the pinout and internal connections so designers can place the part for straightforward gate drive routing.
Mechanically the component is specified with outline dimensions and soldering limits suitable for through-hole PCB assembly. The datasheet emphasises rugged isolation (high Viso), wide operating temperature range, and noise-resistant packaging to ensure consistent triggering of power triacs in mains-voltage circuits.
