The AT89S52-24PU is a high-performance, low-power CMOS 8-bit microcontroller from Atmel, built around an 80C51 core. It is fully compatible with the industry-standard MCS-51 instruction set and pinout, making it a versatile and easy-to-upgrade solution for existing designs. This microcontroller is manufactured using Atmel’s high-density nonvolatile memory technology, integrating a powerful 8-bit CPU with programmable Flash memory on a single monolithic chip. It also supports advanced power management through two software-selectable power-saving modes: Idle Mode, where the CPU is halted while peripherals remain active, and Power-down Mode, which freezes the oscillator to minimize energy consumption until the next interrupt or reset, making it suitable for battery-powered applications.
