The CA3065 IF Amplifier-Limiter, FM Detector, Electronic Attenuator, Audio Driver is a high-performance, monolithic integrated circuit specifically engineered for use as the complete sound system in television receivers. This highly integrated device consolidates several critical functions onto a single silicon chip, dramatically reducing the complexity and component count of the external circuitry required for a television’s sound intermediate-frequency (IF) subsystem. The core functional blocks within the IC include a multistage IF amplifier-limiter, which provides high-gain amplification and signal conditioning for the FM sound carrier
Features:
- Electronic attenuator replaces the conventional volume control function.
- Volume control is accomplished by changing bias levels via an external variable resistor connected to Terminal 6, achieving attenuation in excess of 60dB.
- Differential peak detector requires only a single tuned coil for frequency demodulation.
- Internal Zener diode regulated power supply provides inherent high stability.
- Excellent AM rejection with a typical value of 50dB at 4.5MHz.
