The 10 kΩ carbon-film through-hole resistor (CF series, 0.125 W rating) is a compact axial-lead passive component engineered for general-purpose circuit use. It combines a carbon-film resistive element with a flame-retardant protective coating and axial lead termination to yield a simple, robust resistor construction that is easy to handle, solder and mount on printed circuit boards or in hand-wired assemblies. The small 1/8-watt power rating corresponds to modest continuous dissipation suitable for low-power signal and biasing networks.

Electrically the device provides a stable nominal resistance (10 kΩ) available in common tolerances and manufactured to meet standard test methods (JIS/IEC). The element and coating are selected to balance cost, stability and compatibility with automated insertion and soldering processes. The axial form factor and standard lead spacing make the part straightforward to integrate into compact boards and indicator panels where space and thermal load are limited.
