Dual RJ45 Ethernet Connector Breakout Board with Pin Header
This Dual RJ45 Ethernet Connector Breakout Board is designed to simplify the integration of two standard RJ45 ports into custom electronic or networking assemblies. The board presents each RJ45 jack mounted on a small PCB, with the signal lines broken out to a dual-row 0.1″ pin header as well as optional solder pads, facilitating connection to microcontrollers, switches, or other circuitry. The pair of RJ45 jacks sit side by side, enabling two separate network lines to be brought onto a single module.
When a network cable is plugged into either RJ45 jack, the signals (e.g. the eight conductors plus shield) are routed through internal PCB traces to the corresponding header pins. These header pins allow the board to interface with other modules, breadboards, or connectors without directly mounting the heavy RJ45 jacks there. The board serves as a mechanical and electrical intermediary, providing strain relief, stable mounting, and clear signal routing.
Used during prototyping, test setups, or compact network expansions, this breakout board allows designers to integrate dual Ethernet ports without fabricating custom PCBs. Its layout usually includes ground planes or shielding paths, and the board may also include LED indicator footprints or integrated resistor networks. The lightweight and modular nature of the board makes it easy to swap into existing designs, extend functionality, or debug individual network links without significant rework.
