The EPCOS B43340 is a long-life, industrial-grade aluminium electrolytic capacitor designed for high-energy DC link and smoothing applications. Built with screw-terminal poles and an insulated aluminium can, the series targets robust power-electronics use where high capacitance and reliable electrical contact are essential. The construction emphasises endurance at elevated temperatures (up to +85°C) and strong ripple-current handling, making it suitable where continuous heavy duty performance is required.
The 5600 µF / 450 V variant offers large stored energy per unit and a surge-voltage margin (VS = 1.10 · VR), which helps it tolerate temporary overvoltage events.
