IR2118 Single High Side Gate Driver IC PDIP-8

The IR2118 is a rugged, single-channel high-side gate driver in an 8-pin PDIP package designed to drive N-channel MOSFETs or IGBTs in high-side/topology applications. It features a floating bootstrap channel that is fully operational to 600V, is tolerant to negative transient voltages, and includes dV/dt immunity and undervoltage lockout for safe gate drive under noisy switching conditions. The IR2118 provides a high-pulse current output stage (typical ≈250mA source / 500mA sink) for fast gate charging and discharging, and its input is implemented so the HO output is out of phase with the logic input (inverting behavior for IR2118). Ideal for half-bridge drivers, motor drives, SMPS, and other high-voltage switching applications.
