Kyoritsu 3022 Digital Insulation & Continuity Tester
The Kyoritsu 3022 is a portable, lightweight digital insulation and continuity tester designed for field and workshop use. Encased in a reinforced housing, it meets IEC 61010-1 CAT III 600 V safety standards and features a built-in neck strap and cord case for hands-free operation. Its compact footprint (approx. 105 × 158 × 70 mm) and modest weight (≈ 600 g including batteries) make it easy to carry and maneuver in tight spaces.
Equipped with a single 500 V insulation test range and an auto-discharge mechanism, the 3022 automatically clears stored charge after testing. It also offers two continuity ranges (40 Ω/400 Ω auto), zero-Ω adjustment to null lead resistance, and a bar-graph display for real-time feedback. The instrument sounds an audible buzzer when continuity current exceeds 200 mA, and holds readings for 5 s after release of the test button.
A bright backlight ensures readability in low-light environments, while automatic power-off conserves battery life after 15 min of inactivity. A live-circuit warning LED and buzzer alert the user to the presence of voltage. Up to 99 insulation readings can be saved and recalled from internal memory, and a comparator function provides pass/fail indication against preset resistance values.
