The MAX1487 RS485 Transceiver is a low-power half-duplex transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 bus communication and is capable of data rates up to 2.5Mbs. The IC contains both a driver and receiver for the RS-485 bus together with protection against short-circuits and thermal overload. The MAX1487 also features a quarter-unit-load receiver input impedance, which allows up to 128 transceivers on the RS-485 bus.
Features
