NE532 Dual Operational Amplifier Dip 8-pin
The NE532 is a low-power dual, high-gain operational amplifier designed to run from a single supply over a wide voltage range. Each chip contains two independent op-amps that are internally frequency-compensated so they remain stable in typical single-supply configurations. The device was optimized to interface directly with standard logic supplies (for example +5 V) so it can serve as the analogue front end for digital systems without requiring extra rails.
In normal linear operation the input common-mode range includes ground and the outputs can swing down to ground as well, even when powered from a single positive rail. The amplifiers offer low input bias and offset currents and are designed for low quiescent current per amplifier, making them suitable where power budget is limited. The gain-bandwidth product is temperature-compensated to keep predictable frequency response across expected operating temperatures.
Typical uses include sensor/transducer amplification and DC gain stages, plus all conventional op-amp circuits adapted for single-supply operation. The NE532’s combination of low offset, low bias currents, modest bandwidth (~1.1 MHz) and good DC gain make it a practical choice for low-power signal conditioning, filtering and summing circuits in battery-powered and logic-compatible systems.
Features:
- Internally frequency-compensated.
- Large DC voltage gain (≈100 dB).
- Wide unity-gain bandwidth (~1.1 MHz, temperature-compensated).
- Very low supply current per amplifier (low quiescent drain).
- Low input bias current (typical ~20 nA).
- Low input offset voltage (typical ~2 mV).
- Input common-mode range includes ground (suitable for single-supply use).
- Large output swing to within ~1.5 V of the positive rail (VCC − 1.5 V).
