PIC18F46K80-I/P 64MHz Microcontroller IC PDIP-40
The PIC18F46K80-I/P is a member of Microchip’s PIC18F66K80 family: a feature-rich, enhanced-flash 8-bit MCU that combines up to 64KB of on-chip program memory with advanced peripherals, ultra-low-power nanoWatt XLP operation modes, and an integrated ECAN controller for CAN 2.0B applications. It supports an operating voltage range from 1.8V to 5.5V, includes an on-chip 3.3V regulator, and can run at clock speeds up to 64 MHz when using the internal/high-speed oscillator options.
Features
- 64 Kbytes on-chip Flash program memory with self-programmable capability and long data retention.
- 1,024 bytes of Data EEPROM and ~3.6 Kbytes of SRAM for runtime data storage.
- Operating voltage: 1.8–5.5V with an integrated 3.3V regulator for powering external peripherals.
- Max CPU speed: up to 64 MHz instruction execution (when configured with PLL/oscillator).
- ECAN™ (CAN 2.0B) interface with FIFO/programmable TX-RX buffers, up to 1 Mbps bit rate and DeviceNet support.
- Communications/peripheral set: two Enhanced Addressable USARTs (LIN/J2602 support, Auto-Baud), MSSP (SPI/I²C), and MSSP 3/4-wire SPI support.
- Analog and measurement: 12-bit A/D converter with up to 11 channels, two analog comparators, and CTMU (capacitance/time measurement).
- Timers and PWM: four CCP + one ECCP modules and five timer modules (8/16-bit mix) for complex timing and motor control tasks.
- Robust system features: In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP), In-Circuit Debug (ICD), extended Watchdog Timer (programmable), Fail-Safe Clock Monitor (FSCM), and programmable BOR/LVD.
- Low-power modes: Run/Idle/Sleep with nanoWatt XLP optimizations and ultra-low currents (examples: fast wake-up ~1 µs; very low typical sleep currents).
- Hardware acceleration: single-cycle 8×8 hardware multiplier for efficient math operations.
