The metallized polyester film capacitor is a general‑purpose, leaded, rectangular block capacitor designed for DC applications up to 63 V. It employs a thin polyester (PET) dielectric, metallized on both sides to form the electrodes. A stacked‑film construction yields compact size and excellent stability, while ensuring self‑healing capability in case of dielectric breakdown. The body is encased in a UL 94 V‑0 plastic housing and sealed with epoxy resin for moisture protection and mechanical robustness.
Leads consist of parallel, lead‑free‑tinned copper wires, available in standard 5 mm spacing (other spacings up to 37.5 mm upon request). It is supplied either bulk (untaped) or on ammo‑pack/reel tape, facilitating both manual insertion and automated pick‑and‑place assembly.
With an operating temperature up to 125 °C and compliance to RoHS, this 1 nF, 63 V film capacitor offers a low‑loss, stable solution for coupling, decoupling, and general DC‑link filtering.
