Pressure Plastic Electric Water Solenoid Valve 12V 1/2″ Normally Closed
This 12 V plastic-body solenoid valve with 1/2″ (nominal) porting is designed for on/off control of water flows under modest pressure. Constructed with a molded plastic body and coil assembly, the valve remains closed by default (normally closed) and opens when the 12 V DC coil is energized. Its compact layout and thread-in connections make it convenient for irrigation systems, small pumps, hobby projects and fluid automation setups.
When power is applied to the coil, the internal plunger lifts and allows fluid to pass through the valve body from inlet to outlet; when power is removed, the spring returns the plunger to the seat and the fluid flow stops. It uses a one-way flow design (fluid only flows in the correct direction) and a gasket arrangement to enforce a minimum pressure head and prevent back-flow.
Because the body is plastic rather than brass or metal, the valve is lightweight, corrosion-resistant and well suited to water environments (rather than aggressive chemicals or high-temperature fluid). The nominal 1/2″ connection makes it easier to integrate into piping systems with standard fittings. The 12 V DC coil design allows low-voltage switching and simplifies control via relays or microcontroller drivers in embedded systems, making the valve a versatile component for automated water control.
