The TEA2025B is a dual-channel stereo audio amplifier housed in a 16-pin PowerDIP package, designed for compact audio applications such as portable radios, cassette players, and small boomboxes. It supports operation either in dual mode or bridged to provide increased power output. Operating from a single supply that ranges between 3 to 15 V, the IC offers audio output power up to 2.3 W per channel into 4 Ω at 9 V, and 4.7 W in bridged mode.
It includes built-in mute and start-up circuitry to minimize popping noises on power up, along with thermal overload protection to safeguard the device during high temperature or fault conditions. The amplifier features internally fixed gain (~45 dB), requiring minimal external components for functional implementation.
