UNI-T UT255E Wireless High Low Voltage Hook Ammeter
The UNI-T UT255E is a compact, all-in-one wireless hook ammeter designed to make live-line current and leakage measurements both safe and convenient. At its heart lies a hook-type detector incorporating a built-in double-layer flexible coil, which is remarkably lightweight yet delivers high precision and excellent linearity when clamped around conductors. This detector communicates wirelessly with a handheld receiver over a robust 433 MHz link, allowing operators to maintain a safe distance from high-voltage lines while still obtaining real-time readings.
A telescopic insulating rod connects directly to the hook detector, extending to approximately five meters for elevated or hard-to-reach busbars and conductors; when retracted, it measures around one meter, making transport and setup straightforward. The receiver’s large, 3.5-inch true-color LCD presents measurements clearly, with adjustable backlight for varying light conditions, while a rapid sampling rate ensures that transient currents and leakage fluctuations are faithfully captured. Powered by rechargeable lithium batteries via USB, the system delivers around ten hours of continuous operation, minimizing interruptions during extended field work.
Together, these elements form a purpose-built instrument that streamlines high- and low-voltage diagnostics: users simply hang the hooked coil around the live conductor and, from a safe distance, monitor current, leakage, and frequency without interrupting service or compromising accuracy.
