UNI-T UT25A AC Circuit Breaker Finder
The UNI‑T UT25A is an AC circuit breaker finder and GFCI socket tester designed for rapid and reliable identification of circuit breakers in live electrical circuits. The system comprises a plug‑in transmitter and a handheld receiver: the transmitter injects a tracking signal into the circuit, while the receiver emits audible beeps and flashes LEDs when the signal is detected. Sensitivity is adjustable via a combined power/sensitivity knob on the receiver, allowing precise pinpointing of the target breaker by reducing signal range once proximity is established.
The UT25A’s receiver also features line‑tracking LEDs to confirm continuity, while the transmitter’s GFCI socket test function uses three LEDs to display correct wiring or specific fault conditions (e.g., open ground, reversed hot/neutral). Housed in compact, lightweight enclosures, both units are powered by a single 9 V battery (type 1604/6F22) and conform to UL 61010‑1 and CSA C22.2 No. 61010‑1 safety standards.
Operating on standard North American voltages (90 – 120 V, 50 – 60 Hz), the UT25A is suitable for electricians and maintenance personnel in residential and commercial settings, providing a fast, non‑invasive, and user‑friendly method to trace breakers and verify outlet wiring without circuit shutdown
