The UNI-T UT513A Insulation Resistance Tester is a standalone, handheld instrument engineered for precise insulation testing in electrical systems. With a robust, ergonomic housing and a clear LCD display, it allows technicians to perform high-voltage insulation resistance measurements safely and efficiently. Operating from 100 V up to 5,000 V, the UT513A supports a wide resistance range (from as low as 0.1 MΩ to as high as 1,000 GΩ, depending on test voltage), enabling evaluation of insulation integrity in cables, motors, transformers, switchgear, and other critical equipment.

Its built-in measurement functions include polarization index (PI) and dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), offering insight into insulation condition over time. The tester’s auto-range feature simplifies operation by automatically selecting the optimal measurement range, while the over-range warning and high-voltage indication ensure user awareness under extreme conditions. Data storage allows up to 18 readings to be saved internally for later review, and a USB interface facilitates swift data transfer to a PC.

Powered by eight 1.5 V (LR14) batteries, the UT513A provides approximately 15 to 30 minutes of continuous operation per charge cycle, depending on test settings.
