UNI-T UT513C 5kV Insulation Resistance Testers
The UNI-T UT513C is a handheld, portable insulation resistance tester capable of generating high-voltage outputs up to 5 kV for on-site diagnostics. Housed in a robust, double-insulated enclosure, it employs a large 5.1-inch backlit LCD to present real-time measurements of insulation resistance, leakage current, and voltage levels. Unlike its UT513B counterpart, the UT513C can automatically identify AC or DC voltages before insulation testing and offers capacitance measurement functionality for components rated up to 1 µF at 250 V, 15 µF at 500 V, and 15 µF at 1 kV.
It also integrates Bluetooth communication, allowing wireless control, data logging, and live readouts via the UNI-T Smart Measure mobile app. Users can select from five output voltage ranges (250 V, 500 V, 1 kV, 2.5 kV, 5 kV) and adjust each in 10 % increments to fine-tune test voltages between 50 % and 120 % of the nominal range. A built-in timer supports continuous, timed, polarization index (PI), and dielectric absorption ratio (DAR) tests, while an automatic discharge feature ensures operator safety once testing concludes. The unit stores up to 999 records locally, which can be transmitted over USB or Bluetooth.
Powered by a 14.8 V, 5200 mAh lithium-ion battery, the UT513C delivers approximately 15 minutes of continuous high-voltage output per charge, making it ideal for field inspections in power, telecommunications, and industrial maintenance environments.
