Cytron HAT-MAKER Simplifying Raspberry Pi Hat
The Cytron Maker pHAT is a specially designed add-on board that simplifies the process of getting started with Raspberry Pi projects. It directly addresses common frustrations faced by beginners and makers, such as the difficulty of headless setup without extra peripherals and the challenge of prototyping without clear indicators or easy access to GPIO pins.
Its core purpose is to enable headless operation, allowing users to remotely access and configure their Raspberry Pi through a serial connection over USB immediately upon powering it up. The board significantly eases prototyping by integrating visual and auditory feedback components directly onto the HAT, making the interaction with code and hardware more intuitive and educational.
Designed with a focus on user experience, the Maker pHAT features a Raspberry Pi Zero form factor for a perfect fit and includes clear, on-board labeling for all GPIO pins. It eliminates the need for external hardware for basic functions, providing an all-in-one solution that empowers users to jump straight into creating and learning without initial hardware hurdles.
Features:
- Raspberry Pi Zero Size, stack perfectly on to Pi Zero Series of SBC (Single Board Computer).
- Compatible with standard Raspberry Pi 3B/3B+ and small size Raspberry Pi Zero/W/WH.
- Standard Raspberry Pi GPIO footprint.
- LED array for selected GPIO pins (GPIO 17, 18, 27, 22, 25, 12, 13, 19).
- 3x on board programmable push buttons (GPIO 21, 19 and 20, need to configure as input pull up).
- On board active buzzer (GPIO 26).
- Proper label for all GPIOs, including SPI, UART, I2C, 5V, 3.3V, and GND.
- Utilize USB Micro-B socket for 5V input and USB to UART communication.
- USB serial facilitated by the CH340.
- Input voltage: USB 5V, from computer, power bank or standard USB adapter.
