DSP56F801 16-bit Digital Signal Processor 48-LQFP SMD IC
The DSP56F801 is a 16-bit digital signal controller combining a high-efficiency 56800-family DSP core with microcontroller features, on-chip Flash and RAM, and a rich set of analog and timing peripherals suited for motor control, power conversion, sensing and embedded signal processing applications. The device supports high instruction throughput with hardware multiply-accumulate units, multiple internal buses for concurrent memory accesses, and integrated development/debug support via JTAG/OnCE for rapid application development and field upgrades.

- 16-bit 56800-family DSP core with single-cycle 16×16 MAC and dual 36-bit accumulators for high-performance signal processing.
- Up to 40MIPS operation at 80MHz core frequency (30MIPS at 60MHz typical) for demanding control and DSP tasks.
- On-chip memory: Program Flash, Data Flash, Boot Flash, Program RAM and Data RAM for compact embedded systems and field update capability.
- Peripherals include six-output complementary PWM with dead-time insertion, two 4-channel 12-bit ADCs, SPI and SCI serial interfaces, general-purpose quad timers and watchdog/COP.
- Low-voltage supervisor, internal regulators, selectable clock sources (PLL or relaxation oscillator), JTAG/OnCE debug port and 11 multiplexed GPIO lines for flexible I/O and system control.
