MAA725 Operational Amplifier TO-5

The MAA725, also sold as μA725 and LM725 equivalents, is a precision instrumentation operational amplifier in a rugged TO‑5 metal can (TO‑99‑8) package. It supports a wide supply range up to ±22 V with extremely low input bias current (~2 nA typical) and high open-loop gain (≈3×10⁶), offering outstanding performance for low-noise sensor applications and precision analog systems. The TO‑5 can provides excellent thermal stability and compatibility with vintage or replacement boards using the classic metal-flanged package.

Features
  • Wide ±3 V to ±22 V supply voltage range.
  • Ultra-low input bias current (~2 nA typical).
  • High open-loop voltage gain (~3,000,000 V/V).
  • Excellent common-mode rejection ratio (~120 dB).
  • Low drift: ~0.6 µV/°C input offset drift.
  • Hermetic TO‑5 (TO‑99‑8) metal can package for robust mechanical and thermal performance.
  • Offset null capability and short-circuit protected outputs.

Notes:

  1. Differential pulses up to 5 ms at 10% duty; for DC operation, the allowable differential input falls to ±5 V.
  2. For supply magnitude below ±22 V, reduce absolute input limits accordingly (e.g., at ±16 V supply, input limit is ±15 V; at ±5 V supply, input limit is ±4 V).
