MC14052BCP Dual 4-Channel Analog Multiplexer/Demultiplexer DIP-16

The MC14052BCP is a dual 4-channel digitally controlled analog multiplexer/demultiplexer implemented in a 16-pin package. Each half of the device routes one of four analog inputs to a common output under digital control, enabling compact, low-noise switching of analog signals while preserving signal fidelity across a wide supply range. The chip integrates level-conversion circuitry so standard logic levels can control larger analog swings.

As a CMOS analog switch array, the MC14052BCP offers low ON resistance and very low OFF leakage current, allowing both analog and digital signals up to the supply rails to be passed with minimal distortion. The device is designed with “break-before-make” switching to avoid shorting adjacent channels during transitions, and it maintains linear transfer characteristics for predictable signal handling.

Packaged for easy PCB integration, the MC14052BCP is suitable where multiple analog lines must be selected by logic (for example, routing audio, sensors, or measurement signals). Its internal protections and wide supply range make it flexible for both single-ended and bipolar analog systems.

Features:
  • Triple diode protection on control inputs.
  • Break-before-make switch function.
  • Supply voltage range: 3.0 V to 18 V.
  • Analog voltage range (VDD − VEE): 3.0 V to 18 V.
  • Linearized transfer characteristics.
  • Low noise (≈12 nV/√Hz at f ≥ 1 kHz).
