The 744052 Dual 4-Channel Analog Multiplexer/Demultiplexer IC DIP-16 is a high-performance CMOS device designed for both analog and digital signal routing applications. It functions as two independent single-pole quadruple-throw (SP4T) switches, each with four independent inputs/outputs and a common input/output.

The device includes digital select inputs (S0 and S1) and an enable input (E, active LOW) shared by both switches. When E is HIGH, the switches are turned off, ensuring high impedance. Built with CMOS technology, it offers low power dissipation, high noise immunity, and a wide analog input voltage range from -5V to +5V. The IC supports logic level translation, allowing 5V logic to interface with ±5V analog signals, and features built-in ‘break before make’ to prevent short circuits during switching.
