Cyber:bot Robot Kit – with Micro: Bit
The Cyber:bot Robot Kit – with Micro:Bit is an educational robotics platform designed for students, makers, and STEM learning environments. It combines the BBC micro:bit module with the Parallax cyber:bot board and small robot chassis, creating a practical robot that supports hands-on programming, electronics, and problem-solving activities. The kit is suitable for learning robotics through real movement, sensor interaction, and circuit-building experiments.
This robot kit is programmable with Python using Mu software or an online MicroPython editor. The cyber:bot board connects the micro:bit to the onboard Propeller Multicore Microcontroller, which helps manage real-time servo motor control and sensor circuits. This makes the robot more capable than using a micro:bit alone, especially for classroom robotics projects and interactive coding lessons.
The Cyber:bot Robot Kit – with Micro:Bit is ideal for robotics education, cybersecurity activities, Python programming, and electronics practice. Students can build circuits on the breadboard and explore sensors that respond to touch, visible light, and infrared light. It also supports expansion with compatible Parallax robot add-ons, making it a flexible platform for beginner and intermediate robotics learning.
The cyber: bot robot is a joint project of Parallax Inc. and CYBER.ORG, the academic initiative of the Cyber Innovation Center.
