Installed between a power semiconductor and a heatsink, it provides excellent electrical insulation while allowing efficient heat transfer. This prevents the metal tab of the device from making electrical contact with the heatsink, making it ideal for applications where multiple devices share the same heatsink or where the heatsink is grounded.
