The QL-2006 is a high-speed programmer designed for development and production programming of supported PIC microcontrollers. It supports USB and RS232 communication with a computer and includes an ICSP interface for in-circuit serial programming, allowing compatible microcontrollers to be programmed directly on a soldered circuit board. It also features a 40-pin DIP socket for direct programming of DIP devices.

The programmer supports a wide range of PIC10, PIC12, PIC16, and PIC18 series devices, excluding the PIC16C5X series, as well as supported 24XX and 93XX serial EEPROM devices. Additional functions include automatic programming, programming count control, serial number auto-increment, data verification, and HEX/BIN file support. The QL-2006 can operate directly from USB power, although an external power source may be required if the available USB current is insufficient.
