RJ45 Passive Ethernet Cable Splitter 1-to-2 10/100Mbps
The RJ45 Passive Ethernet Cable Splitter 1-to-2 helps make better use of an existing Ethernet cable run. With two matching adapters, two separate Fast Ethernet connections can travel through one fully wired network cable, avoiding installation of a second cable. Its three RJ45 female sockets connect to standard Ethernet patch cables and suit organized home, office, and workshop network installations.
For two simultaneous connections, install one splitter at each end of the cable run. The first adapter connects to two independent LAN ports on a router or network switch. The second separates those connections at the destination, allowing two computers or other Ethernet devices to communicate independently. The splitter works by routing the cable’s internal wire pairs; it does not generate an additional network connection.
