The TA7769P is a compact dual audio power amplifier integrating two matched channels in a single IC.
Optimized for portable audio applications, it provides reliable audio output with low distortion and low turn-on pop noise.
With a wide operating supply range and modest quiescent current, the TA7769P is suitable for battery-powered equipment such as portable radios, tape recorders, small speaker systems and other consumer audio products.
Features:
- Dual audio power amplifier for portable radio / cassette applications (stereo).
- Built-in thermal shut-down protection (T.S.D.) to protect the IC from overheating.
- Soft-clip / small pop noise at power-on designed to minimize power-on pop noises.
- Wide operating supply range (designed to operate from low voltages typical of portable equipment).
- Input stage with PNP differential pair + emitter follower allowing DC referencing of the input to ground (eliminates mandatory input coupling capacitor in many cases).
- Fixed high voltage gain inside the IC (nominal 56.5 dB) gain may be reduced externally by adding a feedback resistor.
- Anti-oscillation recommendations provided recommended use of polyester film capacitors for certain bypass/stability caps to avoid oscillation.
- Compact DIP-16 package (suitable for through-hole mounting in consumer portable electronics).
