The UNI-T UT276A+ is a handheld clamp-style instrument crafted to simplify earth ground testing by allowing measurements without disconnecting grounding conductors. Its slim, ergonomically curved housing shelters a robust jaw mechanism that gently opens around grounding conductors up to 32 mm in diameter. Once clamped, the tool injects a small, safe test current into the grounding system and senses the resulting voltage drop to calculate resistance providing instant feedback via its clear four-digit LCD.
The body of the UT276A+ is molded from impact-resistant polymer, ensuring durability in challenging work environments, while a textured grip area helps the operator maintain control, even when wearing gloves. A single rotary switch on the front panel lets the technician select the desired measurement mode, and large, raised buttons allow one-handed operation when quick readings are needed in tight spaces.
