Quick rules
- Check the sensor voltage first. Many modules run on 3.3 V or 5 V, and a 3.3 V board such as the ESP32 can be damaged by a 5 V signal: use a level shifter or a 3.3 V sensor.
- Analog sensors give a voltage that the board reads with an ADC. Digital and I2C sensors send values as numbers and are easier to read.
- Several I2C modules can share the same two wires, but each needs a different address.
- MQ gas sensors have a heating element and need a warm-up time before the readings settle. They are hobby-grade parts and are not certified safety alarms: do not rely on them to protect people from a gas leak or fire.
- An ultrasonic sensor can miss soft, angled or very small objects. A laser time-of-flight sensor reads small objects better but works over a shorter range.
- Current sensors for mains AC (such as the ZMCT103C) are used on live wiring. Do not work on mains wiring unless you are qualified.

Frequently asked questions
Which sensor should I buy for temperature: DHT11, DHT22 or DS18B20?
The DHT11 and the DHT22 measure temperature and humidity. The DHT22 covers a wider range and gives finer readings than the DHT11. The DS18B20 measures temperature only, in a digital form that also comes in a waterproof probe. Check each product page for the exact ranges.
Do the sensors work with Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi?
Most of them do, as long as the voltage and the interface (analog, digital or I2C) match what your board supports. The product page lists the operating voltage.
Do you deliver sensors across Egypt?
Yes. Orders to Alexandria placed before 2:00 PM are usually delivered the same day, and orders to other governorates are usually delivered the next day. These are typical times, not a guarantee. Shipping cost depends on the governorate and is shown at checkout. See Shipping and Delivery.
Can I return sensors?
Electronic products cannot be returned or exchanged once opened or used, except for confirmed manufacturing defects. Defects must be reported within 3 days of delivery. Full rules: Refund and Returns Policy.
Do you sell sensors in bulk to schools, universities or companies?
Yes. Contact customer service on +2 0248813824, WhatsApp +20 121 198 1188 or info@makerselectronics.com and you will be connected to the corporate customers team.
Can I visit the store?
Yes: 158 Elhorya St., Elibrahymia, Alexandria, Egypt. Saturday to Thursday 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, Friday 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
